Adventures in Parenthood from A to Z: Easter #atozchallenge

Today’s Adventures in Parenthood from A to Z post takes a look back at our fun Easter Sunday!

Easter is a time of rejuvenation, reflection, and thanks. However for a toddler, it is mostly about the Easter Bunny, baskets, and family fun. We had a great time enjoying some Easter fun with all of our family over several days.
We enjoyed a nice evening with Dave’s parents. We went out to dinner, and they gave Patrick his Easter basket, which included these silly bunny sunglasses! I think Dave enjoyed them as much as Patrick!

We also got pictures with the Easter Bunny. We didn’t take Patrick last year, so this was his first picture with the bunny. If you can tell by my presence in the picture and Patrick’s face, it did not go great! He wasn’t scared, just more not wanting to get his picture taken at all. Fun times!

We headed down to visit my family over Easter weekend. Saturday included some egg dying and an Easter egg hunt and baskets for the grandchildren, including the 2 new ones that will be arriving soon! After all of the fun, we enjoyed a large family dinner, including a Jell-O dessert that the kids loved!
Easter Pic3  On Easter Sunday, we started the day with seeing what the Easter Bunny left in the Easter baskets for the kiddos! Patrick received a lot of Mickey Mouse and Daniel Tiger items!

It’s a very Mickey Mouse Easter for our boy! #DisneySide #easterbasket #toddlerlife #mickeymouse

Easter Pic4 After Easter baskets, we headed to church for Easter mass. Patrick slept through almost the entire mass! After church, we went to Krispy Kreme to enjoy some Easter donuts! Patrick was a fan!

After donuts, it was off to the park to enjoy the great weather.

We had lovely weather for Easter but we are on the other side of the world to you in Australia. Its supposed to be starting to cool off by now but until this week it has been fairly hot still. Our kids are grown but we did have 2 home for easter and we enjoyed our eggs and bunnies. We also went to church and celebrated our Risen Lord

Fun blog! I loved Easter when my kids were small. In one of the pictures when they were a baby and toddler, I bribed my son with a piece of candy to sit still while I got a picture of him and his 5 month old sister. I didn’t realize til I got the pictures back (it was in the days of FILM in cameras!) that the chocolate piece of candy I’d bribed him with unfortunately looked like a piece of…cat poop. I laugh at the memories!
