Happy New Year everyone! 2015 was a year of ups and downs for our family, so we are excited to welcome a new year with open arms and excitement. Here are some of our goals for the upcoming year.
1. The standard “lose weight”
As always, we are entering the new year with the goal of losing weight and getting healthy. This year, we invested in a treadmill for our combined Christmas gift. We are focusing on working out regularly and meal planning as a way to improve our lifestyle and get healthy. We are planning to do the BT5K again this year, so training for that will help us stay with this goal.
2. Get back to blogging
You may have noticed that the blog has been quiet the past few months. I started a new job a few months ago, and we have been adjusting to a new schedule. I hope that Dave and I both will be able to schedule in regular blogging in the new year. Hopefully you will see new posts from us at least twice a week!
3. Tighten up our finances
We really need to start making a bigger dent in our large amount of debt. We are on a mission to tighten our spending and put more money towards decreasing our debt. Our biggest area where we spends tends to be on dining out because it is easy to do when both of us are working. Our hope is that by meal planning each week we will not only be eating healthier, but also spend less money on food. We will be doing the snowball plan to pay down our debt.
Those are our 3 big goals for 2016. I am hoping that we can stay focused and be more successful with them than in past years!
